Equipment Used For Music Video

In preparation for the filming of our music video, I made a list of equipment my group and I will need to film our music video.

The Canon handheld camera is one of the two cameras we will use to film our music video. The reasons for using this camera is because we are able to perform the majority of all camera shots in which we will need when filming our music video with ease. The Strap on the side of the camera allows us to film in various angles such as close ups and point of view shots. It can also be attached to tripod for steady shots.


The tripod allows my group and I to film steady shots without shakiness by attaching the Canon camera to it. With adjustable legs, we can film at different heights and angles which will be particularly useful whilst filming high and low angle shots. The handle on the back of the tripod allows us to move the position and focus of the camera which, in turn, makes it easy for us to perform professional looking tracking and panning shots.




The second camera we will be using to film is another canon but this one is more designed for photos however it still takes great quality video. Reasons for using a second camera is due to it being easier and less time consuming as we can have two members of our group filming the artist at once while he is performing. This camera also has numerous settings which change the focus, style and effects of the shot.
