Mise En Scene Research

As our chosen genre is indie, our artist will have to follow in suit and look the part. To make sure this happens, my group and I research and made a collage of what we believe to be typical clothing of a indie artist.

The image above is the clothing we research and put together. Skinny jeans (top left) are a frequent and almost essential item, it would seem, for a indie artist therefore it was a must. Bracelets for the artists arms is another typical look and it also helps to highlight more of a personality surrounding him. Especially as the weather is progressively getting colder, fold up beany hats are another common feature, especially those with a Christmas-style print on. Generally, the main colours the artist wear are of darker tones; maroons, greens, browns and blacks however the clothing usually has a seemingly random pattern on them. By researching this, we now know how to plan, in terms of mise en scene, for our music video.
